Tool Details
- Tool name: FGFR2b Mouse
- Tool type: Experimental models
- Tool sub-type: Mouse
- Disease: Gastric
- Conditional: Yes
- Conditional description:
- Genetic background and cross history: An Fgfr2 targeting vector, containing a loxP-flanked IIIb exon and a loxP-flanked resistance cassette, was transfected into 129 ES cells. Properly targeted ES cells containing a homologous recombination event were selected, and transfected with a Cre expression vector to excise the resistance cassette. Targeted ES cells were injected into C57BL/6 blastocysts. Chimeric offspring were mated to C57BL/6 mice to generate mice heterozygous for the floxed Fgfr2 allele. Heterozygous mice were interbred to generate mice homozygous for the floxed Fgfr2 allele.
- Phenotype:
- Zygosity: Homozygous
- Description: Knockout of FGFR2 IIIb isoform; in vivo study of FGFR2 IIIb isoform knockout.
- Research area: Cancer; Cell signaling and signal transduction; Genetics; Immunology
