Tool Details
- Tool name: FGFR2III Floxed Mouse
- Tool type: Experimental models
- Tool sub-type: Mouse
- Cancer type: Digestive / Gastrointestinal cancer
- Disease: Cancer
- Model: Conditional KO
- Conditional: Yes
- Conditional description: LoxP flanked IIIb exon of FGFR2 gene enabling tissue-specific cre-mediated knockout of IIIb isoform.
- Cell signalling pathway: FGF signalling
- Genetic background and cross history: An Fgfr2 targeting vector, containing a loxP flanked IIIb exon and a loxP flanked resistance cassette, was transfected into 129Ola ES cells.Properly targeted ES cells containing a homologous recombination event were selected, and transfected with a cre expression vector to excise the resistance cassette. Targeted ES cells were injected into C57BL6 blastocysts. Chimeric offspring were mated to C57BL6 mice to generate heterozygotes. Heterozygotes were bred to homozygosity to generate Fgfr2bflox/flox mice.
- Zygosity: Homozygous
- Strain: C57BL/6
- Description: Conditional knockout of FGFR2 IIIb isoform; in vivo study of FGFR2 IIIb isoform knockout
- Research area: Cancer; Cell signaling and signal transduction; Genetics; Immunology
