  • Description: Non-tumorigenic immortalized breast epithelial cell stably overexpressing mutant cancer-related genes. BRAF (B-Raf proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase). BRAF belongs to the serine threonine protein kinase and is said to activate the MAPK pathway by receiving a signal from the activated RAS in the cell proliferation signaling pathway. Mutations of the BRAF gene are found in malignant melanoma, colon and rectal cancer, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia and is said to cause excessive signal transmission to disable the regulation of cell proliferation. Mutations of V600E are known as somatic cell mutations that are often found in cancer.
