Tool Details

  • Tool name: Anti-KPNB1
  • Alternate names: mAbKPNB1-301-320
  • Tool type: Antibodies
  • Tool sub-type: Primary Antibody
  • Class: Monoclonal
  • Conjugate: No
  • Reactivity: Human, mouse, rat, bovine
  • Host: Mouse
  • Cancer type: glioblastoma, epithelial ovarian cancer, gastric cancer and cervical cancer
  • Disease: Cancer
  • Molecular weight of the target: 97.170 kDa
  • Application: IHC;IF; Electron microscopy (EM); IP; WB; Biotinylation by Antibody Recognition (BAR), ELISA; Proximity ligation assay (PLA)
  • Description: Anti importin beta1 (KPNB1) is a nucleocytoplasmic transport factor with critical roles in both cytoplasmic and nucleocytoplasmic transport. It has been implicated in cancer in a number of studies, including glioblastoma, epithelial ovarian cancer, gastric cancer and cervical cancer. It was also shown to be important in axonal injury signalling activate regeneration programs in neuronal cell bodies
  • Immunogen: The antibody was raised against full-length recombinant mouse importin ?1 protein (UniProt accession # P70168). The protein included an N-terminal His-tag and was produced in yeast (MyBioSource: cat # MBS955236).
  • Immunogen UniProt ID: Q99KM9
  • Isotype: IgG2b
  • Research area: Cell signaling and signal transduction; Genetics
  • Additional notes: The epitope sequence has been mapped to a 20 amino acid linear sequence comprising residues 301-320 of human KPBN1. A synthetic peptide with this sequence can be used as a blocking control for antibody specificity

  • For Research Use Only
