Tool Details
- Tool name: Anti-Leu1 [Y2/178]
- Alternate names: CD5 Molecule 2; Lymphocyte Antigen T1/Leu-1; LEU1; CD5 Antigen; T1
- Clone: Y2/178
- Tool type: Antibodies
- Tool sub-type: Primary Antibody
- Class: Monoclonal
- Conjugate: Unconjugated
- Reactivity: Human
- Host: Mouse
- Cancer type: Blood cancer
- Application: FACS ; IHC ; IF ; IP ; WB
- Description: CD5 is a surface glycoprotein present on peripheral T cells (>95%) and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells that binds CD72. CD5 has utility for the monitoring of T-cell numbers in peripheral blood and the identification of leukaemias of T cell origin. Absence of the CD5 marker on childhood ALL cells is associated with a more favourable prognosis.
- Immunogen: Normal lymphocytes treated with PHA (phytohaemagglutinin)
- Isotype: IgG1
- Research area: Immunology; Stem cell biology
- Myeloma used: P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
- For Research Use Only
