Contributor Information
- Name Peter Beverley
- Institute University College London (UCL)
Tool Details
- Tool name: Anti-Leu1 [UCH-T2]
- Alternate names: CD5 Molecule 2; Lymphocyte Antigen T1/Leu-1; LEU1; CD5 Antigen; T1
- Clone: UCH-T2
- Tool type: Antibodies
- Tool sub-type: Primary antibody
- Class: Monoclonal
- Conjugate: Unconjugated
- Reactivity: Human
- Host: Mouse
- Cancer type: Blood cancer
- Application: IHC ; IF ; WB
- Strain: Balb/c
- Description: UCH-T2 is useful for detection of T cells in peripheral blood and lymph nodes and categorisation of T cell lymphomas and B cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
- Immunogen: Thymocytes followed by Sezary T cells.
- Isotype: IgG1 kappa
- Research area: Immunology; Stem cell biology
- For Research Use Only
Target Details
- Target: Leu1 (CD5)
- Target background: Leu-1 is a surface glycoprotein present on peripheral T cells (>95%) and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells that binds CD72. Absence of the Leu-1 marker on childhood ALL cells is associated with a more favourable prognosis.
Application Details
- Application: IHC ; IF ; WB
