Tool Details
- Tool name: Erythropoietin expressing D1-MSC cell line
- Alternate names: EPO
- Tool type: Cell Lines
- Parental cell line: D1-MSC
- Organism: Mouse
- Tissue: Bone Marrow
- Disease: Blood disorders; Ageing
- Growth properties: Adherent cells
- Model: Stem Cells
- Description: Erythropoietin is a hormone involved in the regulation of erythrocyte proliferation and differentiation and the maintenance of a physiological level of circulating erythrocyte mass. In addition, EPO is involved in a number of biological processes from ageing to apoptosis to T-cell differentiation. The parental cell line, D1-MSC , is a murine, bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell which is able to differentiate into numerous bone-related cell types.
