Contributor Information

  • Name Abdo Alnabulsi
  • Institute Vertebrate Antibodies Limited

Tool Details

  • Tool name: Anti-M-IriV
  • Tool type: Antibodies
  • Class: Polyclonal
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated
  • Reactivity: Virus
  • Host: Rabbit
  • Molecular weight of the target: 50
  • Application: ELISA
  • Description: Grouper iridoviruses are major pathogens of groupers and have caused heavy economic losses to grouper aquaculture. Major capsid protein is a potential biomarker of grouper Iridovirus-infected cells. The differential expression of these membrane proteins represent potentially important sources of putative biomarkers during virus infection, and could be used to improve antiviral drug design and diagnostic technique. Identification of major capsid protein is necessary to further our understanding of virus infection mechanism and cell biology. This antibody would be useful to develop diagnostic assays to identify the virus in brood fish and to enable stocking of virus free larvae and juveniles.
  • Immunogen: Ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide. Infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus; Marble sleepy goby iridovirus; Rock bream iridovirus; Golden mandarin fish iridovirus; Barramundi perch iridovirus; Red seabream iridovirus; Giant seaperch iridovirus; flounder iridovirus; Turbot reddish body iridovirus;
  • Research area: Cell biology; Immunology

  • For Research Use Only
