  • Clone: HD 8B6
  • Tool type: Antibodies
  • Tool sub-type: Primary antibody
  • Class: Monoclonal
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated
  • Reactivity: Human
  • Host: Mouse
  • Application: IF ; ELISA ; IHC ; RIA
  • Strain: Balb/c
  • Description: HD 8B6 has potential uses in the diagnosis of ovarian and testicular tumours. The antibody detects both Regan and Nagao isoenzymes.
  • Immunogen: Fresh Hep-2 cells followed by booster injections of fresh Hep-2 cells that have had their surface expression of PLAP boosted in culture.
  • Isotype: IgG2a
  • Research area: Cancer; Cell biology
  • Myeloma used: P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1

  • For Research Use Only

Target Details

  • Target: Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP), Regan and Nagao isoenzymes.
  • Target background: Alkaline phosphatases are phosphodiesterases. The placental-specific isozyme of Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP) is found in trophoblast cells of normal human mature placenta, seminomas of testis and ovarian carcinomas. The detection of alkaline phosphatase in serum is a marker for ovarian and testicular cancer.

Application Details

  • Application: IF ; ELISA ; IHC ; RIA
